The women in this paining are wearing the standard dress of the Italian Renaissance called a gamurra. The bodice is high and fitted and the skirt is full. It would be worn over a long chemise (called a camicia). Sleeves were detachable and often featured slashes though which the full sleeves of the camicia could be pulled though.
The woman on the left of this painting is wearing the camicia and gamurra with the addition of a sideless belted overgown called a giornea.
